3 Causes Of Your Tooth Pain

Diane Mason

If you're feeling pain in your mouth, knowing what's causing it is important. The good news? Toothaches can have an easy fix! But first, you need to identify the cause of your pain so that you can get treatment immediately. In this article, let's go over three common causes of toothache (tooth decay, tooth abscess, and extruded root tip) so that you know what to look out for.

1. Tooth decay

Tooth decay is the most common cause of tooth pain. It's caused by bacteria that live in your mouth, which can lead to cavities if they're not removed. These bacteria feed on sugars and starches found in food or drink—especially sugary snacks and soda—and produce acid that erodes the enamel on your teeth.

If you're experiencing pain from tooth decay, it's best to see a dentist as soon as possible. Your dentist can clean out any cavities and fill them with a filling material (or "crown"). This will protect your healthy tissue while making sure there aren't any more problems with your teeth in future

2. Tooth abscess

If you're experiencing pain in your tooth, it's likely that you have an infection in the pulp of that tooth. A pulp abscess is caused when bacteria move into the soft tissue inside of your tooth and cause inflammation. The infection can be painful and will usually lead to swelling around the affected area, as well as fever and pus coming out of your gums (which makes sense—that would be gross!).

3. Extruded root tip

An extruded root tip is a condition where the root of your tooth is exposed. An injury or infection can cause this, and it can cause pain and swelling in your mouth. It's important to seek treatment as soon as possible because, left untreated, this problem could lead to complications like abscesses or gum disease.

Antibiotics will help treat any infections in your mouth that may have contributed to an extruded root tip. Painkillers like ibuprofen will also help manage any discomfort associated with this condition.

In most cases, you'll need to visit your dentist as soon as possible so they can repair the damage and stop it from getting worse. The good news is that this condition is rare and very treatable.

If you are experiencing any tooth pain, please go see a dentist as soon as possible. It's important to have a proper diagnosis before starting treatment so that you can get back to being pain-free!

Understanding Root Canal Procedures

Hey everyone. My name is Jaheem Gherdley. I made this site to talk about root canal procedures. Root canals are usually performed to save broken or rotten teeth. My situation did not deviate from this norm. I was eating my favorite crunchy snacks when my tooth broke straight down the middle. I ignored this development until an infection set in deep in the root of my tooth. My dentist urged me to come right in for an emergency root canal to save the tooth and stop the spread of infection. The procedure stopped the pain and kept my tooth in place. From that point on, I decided to learn all I can about root canals. I will share the information I've gathered with you to help you understand the importance of this procedure. Thanks for stopping by.
